KNEC to Open Online Registration for 2026 Business and Technical Exams on July 6
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has announced that registration for the 2026 Business and Technical examinations will be open from July 6 to September 11.
In a notice issued on Tuesday, June 2, the council said that the registration covers institutional candidates, including those taking Business single and group subjects, ahead of the November series practical and theory examinations, which will run from November 16 to December 4.
“Registration of candidates for the November 2026 Business and Technical examinations will commence on 6th July 2026,” the notice stated.
KNEC instructed that all registrations must be completed online through the official portal accessible via its website.
Additionally, KNEC outlined other key dates for the registration and administration of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) examinations for the 2026/2027 period.
For the March 2027 series, registration will be open from November 2, 2026, to January 8, 2027 for examinations scheduled from March 15 to April 2, 2027.
Registration for the July 2027 series will take place from March 1 to May 7, 2027, ahead of examinations scheduled from July 19 to August 6, 2027.
According to the notice, the last day for submission of Course Work Assessment (CWA) and project marks for the November 2026 series will be October 23, 2026, while for the March 2027 series it will be February 26, 2027, and for the July 2027 series it will be June 25, 2027.
The collection of advance instructions for practical examinations will take place on October 12, 2026, for the November 2026 series, on February 15, 2027, for the March 2027 series, and on June 14, 2027, for the July 2027 series.
Planning for hospitality practical papers is scheduled for November 11, 2026, for the November 2026 series, March 10, 2027, for the March 2027 series, and July 14, 2027, for the July 2027 series.
